More About Dr. Delia Blaschka
Dr. Delia Blaschka’s passion for veterinary medicine began early, growing up surrounded by dogs and cats. Over time, her love for animals deepened into a strong appreciation for the human–animal bond. A particularly meaningful experience caring for a beloved childhood pet inspired her to pursue a career dedicated to preserving that special connection for others.
Dr. Delia earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Michigan State University. After graduating, she felt drawn to serving a small, rural community similar to the one she grew up in. For more than a decade, she has been committed to small animal medicine, with a focus on building strong, trusting relationships with both patients and their families.
While she enjoys all aspects of general practice, Dr. Delia has developed a special interest in internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. She values the variety that each day brings, whether diagnosing a complex condition, performing a critical procedure, or celebrating a pet’s recovery alongside relieved and grateful owners.
At home, Dr. Delia shares her life with Moby, a spirited Beagle, and Lt. Dan, a three-legged cat whose constant purring is a daily reminder of the unconditional love pets bring into our lives. Outside the clinic, she enjoys exploring the trails and lakes of Southwest Michigan and spending time with her spouse and two children.
