Benita Poffenberger

Benita has been a dedicated member of the Gobles Veterinary Clinic team for over 22 years, bringing a rare blend of clinical experience, front-desk support, and behind-the-scenes organization to the practice. In her multifaceted role as a Veterinary Assistant, Receptionist, and Bookkeeper, she helps ensure both patient care and clinic operations run smoothly.

Throughout her career, Benita has cared for countless pets and supported their families with compassion and dedication. One case that stands out involved a patient named Beau, who required extensive care, including multiple X-rays and blood draws. Watching Beau recover, get back on his feet, and walk himself back to his kennel remains a powerful reminder of why Benita values the work she does every day.

What Benita loves most about her role is being able to make a difference for pets, their families, and the clinic team alike.

Outside of work, Benita’s family includes her husband, Chuck, and their three rescue dogs: Daisy, Sweetie, Sporty, Mikey, and Louie. Her pets are an important part of her life and reflect her lifelong commitment to caring for animals in need.
